Last week, we enjoyed the return of our annual Fall Festival & Chili cookoff! It was a great representation of the church coming together, seeing everyone pitch in to help in some way, and provided a wonderful opportunity to warmly welcome the visitors and guests that came. Our building was full of fun and laughter, with everyone participating in the games, pumpkin painting, eating all the great chili, photo booths, and the amazing "Dance Cam"!! (Great idea by Jacob Schwegel!)
As always, the chili competition was a big hit, and quite competitive. In the end, only one person could claim the first place price, and that was Shelia Hirsberg! We added a couple of new elements of competition to our festival this year, and those were the "Kid's Choice Award" for chili and the Pumpkin Carving Contest. Thanks to Brandon & Juliana Tovar and Beckett Schwegel for being our kid judges this year - they took it very seriously and did a great job!
