GCC's First Deacons/Deaconesses Installed!

Several months ago, the Elder Board began the process of installing Deacons at GCC. After searching and considering the scriptures, the decision was made to install several Deacon/Deaconess couples. Once all the steps of the process were complete (see the attached document below from our church bylaws), six couples were chosen to be the first official Deacon/Deaconesses at Great Commisison Church! 

At the April 6th Member's Meeting Trevor explained the process to the gathered body, called the couples up, then the Elders prayed over each couple to make it official before the church.  If you missed this historic moment in GCC's history, we have a video segment from the members meeting that you can watch!

Your new Deacon couples are: Garrison & Leah Brigance, Bill & Stephanie Clark, James & Amy Folkerts, Randy & Shelia Hirsberg, Ryan & Kayla Massey, and Jason & Kristy May.  Be in prayer for these couples; that more and more, they will seek the Lord to be equipped and empowered to faithfully serve our faith family!
