Last weekend, it was our joy to honor our graduating Seniors. We love them, are so proud of them, and relished the opportunity to spend some quality time with them
The festivities kicked off Saturday morning with a brunch hosted by Allen and Corry Sims, which allowed youth leaders to spend time with the Seniors they have mentored and discipled over the years. On Sunday morning, we recognized all the Seniors in front of their church family, where they were charged to continue pursuing God, and if they were going away to college, to plug into a bible-teaching church quickly. They were joined onstage by their parents, the elders, and any leader or teacher at GCC who had ever had the opportunity to pour into them and were prayed over by one of our elders.
Sunday night wrapped up the weekend with our inaugural TKO year-end banquet where one of our Seniors, Kristen Oswalt welcomed in the new 7th graders by giving advice for their upcoming years in youth group. The night was completed with JC and several youth leaders challenging and commissioning our graduates as they embark on their next phase of life. What an honor and pleasure it was to spend quality time with each and every one of these students!
