Read: Ephesians 5
Big Idea: In the middle of chapter 5, Paul directs Christians to walk wisely, making the most of every opportunity because of how evil the world is around us. The wise are those who understand the will of the Lord. They choose the power of being filled with God’s Spirit over worldly pleasures like drunkenness. One way to be filled with the Spirit is to separate from fleshly sins. Another way to be filled with the Spirit is to serve our spouses. All of this defines what it means to walk circumspectly.
Key Verse(s):
Ephesians 5:15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
Ephesians 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit
