GCKids and Youth Raise Money for Missions!

Each year during VBS (GCKids) and Camp GC (GCYouth) week, we take the opportunity to engage the Next Generation with missions.  We talk about what 'Missions' is, why it's important, and our philosphy of personalized, strategic missions to reach the globe with the gospel message.  We typically highlight one of our ministry partners and spend time each day telling a bit about them, challenging the kids and teens to bring in change each day - ending the week with dollar bills - to raise money for missions.  This year, they stepped up to the plate and hit a home run!  

There were a few challenges thrown out in the youth group with a wager of shaved heads if certain goals were met........and they were!  The kids raised over $800, and the youth raised over $600 for a combined total of over $1400 for our local ministry partner, Life Choices of Memphis!!  What a great blessing it is to begin instilling in our youth and kids the importance of supporting local and worldwide missions.
